Agreement to Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and MS Digital University ("MSDU", "we", "us"). They govern your access to and use of the MSDU website, learning management system (LMS), mobile applications, and any associated services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

Eligibility & Account

  • You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or are using the services with parental supervision and consent.
  • You will provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, admissions, and any subsequent updates.
  • You will keep your account credentials confidential and notify the university immediately of any unauthorised use.
  • You agree to comply with the academic, examination, and code-of-conduct policies of the university.
  • You understand that admission is subject to verification of documents, eligibility, and seat availability.

Acceptable Use

Permitted

Use the website, LMS, and mobile apps strictly for educational purposes related to your enrolment.

Prohibited

Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to MSDU systems.

No Sharing

Share login credentials, exam content, or recorded lectures with non-enrolled individuals.

Respect IP

Distribute, reproduce, or commercially use any course content without written permission.

No Malware

Upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to harm MSDU systems or other users.

No Abuse

Engage in harassment, hate speech, plagiarism, or any conduct violating the Student Code of Conduct.

Intellectual Property

  • All course materials, recorded lectures, assessments, and proprietary tools (Vidhira LMS, VSync, Argus) are owned by MS Digital University or its licensors.
  • Limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license is granted to enrolled learners for personal academic use only.
  • MSDU's trademarks, logos, and brand assets may not be used without prior written consent.
  • User-submitted content (assignments, projects) remains your IP, but you grant MSDU a license to evaluate, archive, and use it for academic and quality-assurance purposes.

Fees, Payments & Refunds

All applicable fees are payable in advance through approved payment channels. Fee structure for each programme is published on the website and is subject to revision before the start of each academic session.

Refunds are governed by MSDU's Refund Policy, which aligns with UGC's Refund of Fees and Non-Retention of Original Certificates Regulations, 2024.

Limitation of Liability

  • The website and services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind.
  • MSDU is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the services.
  • Total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid by the user in the preceding twelve months.
  • MSDU is not responsible for content on third-party websites linked from MSDU pages.

Termination

MSDU reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services for breach of these Terms, the Student Code of Conduct, examination malpractice, non-payment of fees, or for any conduct that disrupts the integrity of the academic process. Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive — including intellectual-property rights, indemnities, and limitations of liability — shall remain in effect.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to the MSDU Grievance Cell. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Patiala, Punjab.

For UGC-recognised matters, the University Ombudsperson's decision is final and binding as per UGC Regulations, 2023.

Changes to These Terms

MSDU may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a banner on the website at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
