About the Board
The Board of Management is the supreme governing body of MS Digital University, constituted under the Punjab Private Digital Open Universities Policy, 2026 and in accordance with the university's statutes. It holds ultimate responsibility for the governance, policy, strategic direction, and overall performance of the university.
The Board brings together an independent, experienced, and diverse group of academicians, industry leaders, and government nominees. Its deliberations combine academic insight, administrative expertise, and regulatory awareness to ensure the university operates with integrity, ambition, and a steadfast commitment to learner outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and long-term vision for the university
- Approve academic programmes, policies, and institutional priorities
- Oversee financial planning, budgets, and institutional resources
- Appoint key functionaries including the Founder and senior officers
- Ensure compliance with UGC regulations and applicable statutory frameworks
- Review institutional performance, outcomes, and quality benchmarks
- Approve the annual report, audited accounts, and strategic plan
- Safeguard the university's values, integrity, and public trust
Board Composition
Chairperson
The Chairperson of the Board leads all Board proceedings, sets the agenda, and represents the governing body in matters of strategic importance.
Founder
The Founder serves as the chief executive and academic officer of the university and is a permanent member of the Board.
Academic Members
Distinguished academicians nominated for their scholarship, research contributions, and understanding of higher education policy and practice.
Industry Members
Senior professionals from industry, technology, and public service who bring real-world perspectives on skills, employability, and institutional strategy.
UGC Nominee
A representative nominated by the University Grants Commission to ensure alignment with national higher-education standards and regulations.
Government Nominee
A representative of the State Government of Punjab, nominated in accordance with the Punjab Private Digital Open Universities Policy, 2026.
