Humanities & Social Sciences Programmes
Develop analytical, communication, and research skills through a curriculum that engages with Indian society, politics, literature, and global issues.
Bachelor of Arts (Political Science)
The BA (Political Science) programme provides a comprehensive understanding of political theory, governance structures, international relations, public administration, and constitutional law. Students engage critically with India's political system, global geopolitics, and democratic processes. The programme is ideal for aspirants preparing for civil services (IAS/IPS/IFS), journalism, law, and public policy careers, and provides a strong foundation for MA (Political Science) and LLB programmes.
Bachelor of Arts (Psychology)
The BA (Psychology) programme introduces students to the scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes. It covers foundational areas including cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, and counselling techniques. The programme is well-suited for students interested in mental health careers, education, HR, social work, and research. Graduates can pursue M.A. (Psychology), RCI registration, or careers in counselling and clinical settings.
Bachelor of Arts (Sociology)
The BA (Sociology) programme examines society, culture, social institutions, and human behaviour at the collective level. Students study classical and contemporary sociological theories, caste, gender, religion, urbanisation, and development. The programme encourages critical thinking about social inequality, identity, and change — preparing students for careers in social work, development sector, journalism, research, civil services, and NGO management.
